Last night we stayed in a hostel with an international community flare. They had games available to play, so we sat down to a couple games of rummikub. This morning we had a delicious breakfast with several homemade products (rhubarb jelly, cinnamon toast, pesto, hummus, etc.). We enjoyed all the languages being spoken around us while we ate. Then we were off to see Iceland’s largest waterfall. The rain stopped long enough for us to hike the half mile to go see the two waterfalls. The wind was non-stop company to spice up our walk. After the waterfall we drove to a hot spring resort, Go Sea. It was upscale and quite lovely. In Iceland you are required to shower prior to getting in the hot springs. They do not use chemicals here and are trying to minimize contaminants. The hot springs were amazing to soak in. As we soaked we looked out over the sea and snow tipped mountains. It was a great way to end the day.

Mercy’s Take (9/9) – We woke up and went to have breakfast. Then we headed to Dettifoss and Selfoss waterfalls that are right beside each other. We then went to Geo Sea, a nice geothermal pool and stayed 2hrs. Then went to our hotel Tjarnir, which is a school. It was great. Then we called the kids and Grandma Tuten. I read two fantastic letters from Kendall Alexis Tuten and Sydney Jane Tuten and loved them so much. I went to bed at 8:25p.
