Dad’s Day –
In the morning there was a heavy snow, but nothing was sticking. Someone showed us a picture of the next town 2km away, where we were originally planning to stay, and it had gotten several feet of snow that night. We had a great breakfast at the hotel. For the ride home it was 0 degrees to start, but got warmer as we descended and the rain even stopped by the time we got back to town. It was super fun on all the winding roads through the Alps and the scenery was unforgettable.
Tirzah’s Day –
Today was the day for the glass elevator. It was Finn’s day to stay home. We met a lady from Israel who was lost, so we gave her directions. Then we were climbing the hill, the cars were on the sidewalk, so we had to walk beside them with other cars flying past. We got tickets and onto the glass elevator. It was box with thick glass. It went slowly straight up the mountain. Finn was scared of heights, but did fine on the glass elevator. At the top were castle ruins. There was one part too small for adults. We did all three flights up. Only 17 people can get on the elevator and there were exactly 17 coming down. We got more gelato. I LOVE GELATO!!!
